Sheila Everette-Hale is the CEO and Educational Director of Everette's Natural Beauty School/Salon in Detroit, MI.  She started her business in 1978, migrating her families here from San Diego, Omaha and Gary, Indiana.  She was very instrumental in creating a new license for the Natural Hair Culturist in the state of Michigan, which was signed into law by Gov. Engler in 1997, and in the year 2000, she opened the first 400 hour Natural Hair Care School worldwide.  In 2008 Sheila created the first online natural hair care webinar, teaching both theory and practical techniques.

In 2014 Sheila founded Linking Everybody Extraordinary People (LEEP), a community-orientated business incubation and collaboration project dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship worldwide.  The mission is "to create the space and opportunities for people to express and experience their full self-expression (passion) ... and get paid."  It is the 'Birthing Place' ... a place where visions and dreams are born, nurtured, developed and duplicated.  She is the "Passion Gatekeeper" ... helps people discover what their passions are and how to serve the world by sharing it.   Since 2014 she started several other businesses/organizations ... City of ArtZ (COAZ); INBAU (It's Not Business As Usual); Aduni's Event Planning Bootcamp Academy; Elizabeth Visionary Conference; and the Natural Hair Industry.

Sheila's experience of helping others stems from her background employment at the United Way (San Diego) and the Metropolitan Detroit Youth Foundation (Detroit) where she participated in raising chartable funds and managed programs for participants.

​

Her African name "Aduni" was revealed to her in 2014 by the Ancestors.  It means 'something sweet to have' and she uses it when doing creative artistic performances of singing, dancing and playing accent percussions.  She is well known as 'the tambourine queen' and has accompanied award winning performers such as Thornetta Davis, Sky Covington, Laura Rain, the Mighty Funhouse to name a few.  Both Aduni & PhilHarmonic are in the midst of promoting their new album release creating during the covid shutdown.

Her passion for event planning has driven her to create the following events on a large scale in Detroit:

  2. HUG Detroit Day festival (annual)

  3. Elizabeth Visionary Conference (annual)

  4. City of ArtZ Music Symposium (annual)

  5. Everette's Natural Hair Bootcamps (3/year)

Phillip J. Hale is the CEO/Music Director-Producer of the Music Awareness Program (MAP).  His humanitarian projects are socially founded in his understanding of music as a universal language.  He has played the keyboard since the age of 4 and has shared his unique approach to understanding music with other musicians.  Phil's purpose is to create opportunities for people around the world to participate in musical programs and sessions that allow them to become musically aware, and to enhance that awareness throughout society in a program presentation of various musical genres and approaches.  Phil has also been a music representative for the Jazz Foundation of America, performing with his band monthly for locations around the Metro Detroit area to spread the jazz genre to locations that otherwise would not be able to afford to hire musicians.
